Terms of Service
Version 1.2 · Effective from 20 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and the provider of the SAINT application ("the Service Provider", "we", "us"). They govern your use of the SAINT app on iOS and Android and related services (the "Service"). Please read them in full before using the Service.
1. Accepting these terms
By signing up for, signing in to or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms. You also acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Our Service
SAINT is a single-account app that lets you reach services from the Service Provider and its partners with one account. Its main features are:
- managing your account, profile, security and notifications;
- chat, sending photos and files, and sharing your location;
- SOS, to report an emergency to the Smart-Emergency dispatch centre (section 8);
- "My health data", to keep your health information so you can open it and show it when needed, and, if you choose, share your health card with SOS (section 8);
- SAINT volunteers, for people aged 18 and over who want the dispatch centre to be able to ask them to help nearby (section 9);
- reporting a problem with the app and reading the help centre;
- scanning QR codes and showing your personal QR code;
- opening add-on services inside the app, such as translation;
- a staff portal for authorised staff of our partners;
- field officer mode, for officers the dispatch centre has authorised.
We may add, change or end features. We may also update the app automatically to fix errors or improve security.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 20, you need a parent's or guardian's consent where the law requires it. To be a SAINT volunteer you must be at least 18 years old (section 9). You must not be barred from using the Service by law, and you must not have had an account permanently suspended.
4. Your account and security
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password, PIN and device secure. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
- We recommend turning on two-factor authentication.
- If you think someone else has accessed your account, change your password. Then revoke unknown sessions in the Security menu and tell us straight away.
- Do not transfer, sell or let anyone else use your account.
5. Partner accounts and the staff portal
- The staff portal uses your SAINT account. Each time you sign in, the app sends proof of your SAINT sign-in to the partner's system to check whether you are a staff member with access. If you choose to link an account you hold with the partner, you prove it is yours with the partner's password or your Google account, which the partner checks. The partner's own terms also apply to your account with the partner.
- Staff using the staff portal may use booking and guest data only to carry out their assigned work.
- Keep the data confidential.
- Do not copy, screenshot or disclose it without a work need.
- Follow your employer's policies and data protection law.
- Your partner employer decides your access to the portal and may withdraw it.
6. Your content
- You keep ownership of the content you send through the Service, such as messages, photos and files.
- You allow the Service Provider to store, transmit and display that content only as far as needed to provide the Service to you and your recipients.
- You confirm that you have the rights to what you send, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights or break the law.
7. Prohibited conduct and zero tolerance
The Service Provider has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You must not:
- send content that is illegal or obscene, sexually exploits children, promotes violence or incites hatred;
- harass, threaten, bully or stalk anyone, or impersonate anyone;
- send spam, unauthorised advertising, scam links or malware;
- harvest, scrape or bulk-search other users' data, including guessing phone numbers;
- gain unauthorised access or probe for vulnerabilities without permission. You must not reverse-engineer or modify the app, or disrupt the Service.
- use the Service to infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights.
You can report or block abusive users from the chat screen, or tell us using the details in section 17. We review reports within 24 hours. We may remove content and suspend or terminate the accounts of users who break these rules.
8. SOS, emergencies and health data
- SOS sends a request for help, your location and the details you have set up to the Smart-Emergency dispatch centre, which is run by a partner organisation. The dispatch centre assesses the emergency, contacts you and sends help. The Service Provider is not itself a rescue or emergency medical service.
- SOS needs an internet connection and your phone's location, and may fail or be delayed when there is no signal, the battery is flat or a system is down. We do not guarantee that a request reaches the dispatch centre, or that help arrives within any time. SOS does not replace calling for help: if you can call, call 1669 or 191 as well.
- If you press SOS without an internet connection, the app keeps it on your phone and sends it when the connection returns. It may therefore reach the dispatch centre late. If it has not been sent after 30 minutes, the app asks whether you still need help, and sends it by itself if you do not answer within 2 minutes, but only for an SOS pressed no more than 6 hours earlier. While it waits, call 1669 or 191 if you can.
- The app has no calling service of its own. Call buttons in the app open your phone's dialler, and the call goes over your own phone network.
- Use SOS only for a real emergency. Do not make false reports or press it for fun; if you press it by mistake, say so in the app straight away. False reports may lead to your account being suspended and may be an offence.
- Give accurate SOS details, and tell your emergency contacts that you have added them.
- "My health data" stores and shows what you enter or import yourself. The app does not diagnose, gives no medical advice and is not a medical device. The averages and reference lines it shows are general information. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, and should ask a doctor before making decisions about your health.
- If you share your health card with SOS, the dispatch centre and the teams on your incident see what you entered or imported, as it is. You are responsible for keeping it accurate and up to date; responders may rely on it. The Service Provider does not check it.
- Officers using field officer mode may use a reporter's details, including a health card the reporter shared, only to carry out the job assigned to them, and must keep them confidential.
9. SAINT volunteers
- You must be at least 18 years old to be a volunteer, and you must have a phone number in your profile. By signing up you confirm that you are 18 or older.
- A SAINT volunteer is a member of the public who offers to help. A volunteer is not a rescue professional, and being a volunteer does not make you one, or an employee of the Service Provider.
- We do not guarantee that a volunteer will come to any incident, or within any time. Someone who needs help should still press SOS or call 1669 or 191.
- You choose every time whether to accept a request. You may decline any request, and you may cancel after accepting; please press "Cancel" so the centre knows you are not coming.
- When you help, follow the dispatch centre's instructions, act only within your own skills, and put your own safety first. Do not take risks you are not trained for.
- Use what you learn about an incident or a person only to help with that incident, and keep it confidential.
- If you misuse volunteering — for example, false answers, going to an incident for a purpose other than helping, or misusing someone's details — we may remove you as a volunteer, and suspend or terminate your account under section 14.
- You can stop being a volunteer at any time from the Volunteer page under Profile.
10. Third-party services
Parts of the Service rely on or connect to third-party services. Examples are Sign in with Google or Apple, the Smart-Emergency dispatch centre, your phone's health app (Apple Health and Health Connect), NTDI Helpdesk for problem reports, partner services and add-on services opened inside the app. Each of those providers' own terms and policies applies. The Service Provider is not responsible for third parties' content or operations.
11. Fees
The SAINT app is free and has no in-app purchases. Charges from your mobile network or internet provider are your responsibility. Partner services reached through the app may charge fees under the partner's own terms.
12. Intellectual property
The app, software, trademarks and content of the Service Provider belong to the Service Provider or its licensors. We grant you a licence to use the app for your personal use under these terms. The licence is non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable. You must not copy, modify, distribute or commercially exploit the app without our written permission.
13. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy governs how we collect and use your personal data. You can read it in the app under Profile > About.
14. Suspension, termination and account deletion
- You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time. The Privacy Policy sets out the steps and time frame.
- We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if it is needed to protect users or the Service. Where appropriate, we will tell you why.
- Terms that by their nature should survive termination continue to apply. These include intellectual property, limitation of liability and governing law.
15. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
- We provide the Service "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will meet all your needs.
- As far as the law allows, the Service Provider is not liable for indirect or special damages. The same applies to lost data or revenue arising from using, or being unable to use, the Service.
- Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited. This includes liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, and your statutory consumer rights.
16. Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will tell you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.
17. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand, and Thai courts have jurisdiction over disputes. For questions or to report a problem, contact the Service Provider at [email protected], or in the app under Profile > About.
18. Additional terms for the App Store and Google Play
- These terms are between you and the Service Provider only, not Apple Inc. or Google LLC. The Service Provider alone is responsible for the app and its content.
- Apple and Google have no obligation to maintain or support the app.
- The Service Provider handles claims relating to the app, where it has not lawfully disclaimed them. These include product liability, failure to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection and intellectual property infringement claims.
- You confirm that you are not located in a sanctioned country and are not on any government list of prohibited parties.
- If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
- You must also follow the App Store or Google Play terms of use.
