Delete your SAINT account
Last updated 20 October 2026
This page explains how to ask for your SAINT app account and the data tied to it to be deleted: what is deleted, what stays, and how long it takes. The full details are in the Privacy Policy.
1. In the app
- Open the SAINT app and sign in with the account you want to delete.
- Go to the Profile tab and tap Request account deletion at the bottom of the page.
- Read what happens, type DELETE, then tap Request deletion.
- The app shows the date your account will be erased.
2. Without the app
If you cannot open the app, or have already removed it, email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my SAINT account" from the address you use for the account. If you write from another address, give the account's address in your message. We will check that the account is yours first, and reply within 30 days of receiving your request.
3. What is deleted
- Your account: name, email address, password, profile photo, phone number and app access (sign-in records that include your email address stay for up to 90 days, see section 4). The account can never sign in again.
- Your private files.
- Your other personal data, which is deleted or anonymised.
- "My health data" on our servers is deleted with the account when the time is up, with its access history. During the wait you can still use it as usual, and if you cancel the request it is all still there. The copy on a phone is deleted when you sign out, or when the app on that phone learns that the account has been deleted.
- If you are a SAINT volunteer, your volunteer data is deleted, in SAINT and at the dispatch centre, as when you stop being a volunteer.
- We ask NTDI Helpdesk to delete your problem reports and their attachments.
- If you shared your health card with the dispatch centre in an SOS, the centre removes it within 30 days after the case closes, or sooner if you withdraw your consent or the case is removed.
4. What stays
- Messages you sent other people stay, shown as a deleted user, and remain on the recipients' devices. We cannot delete data on other people's devices.
- Files you put in someone else's space.
- Sign-in records (IP address, device, times, sign-in attempts and the email address used to sign in), kept until each is 90 days old as the law requires, then deleted.
- Security logs without your user ID, abuse reports and the reported messages, kept for 1 year, then deleted.
- SOS case records at the Smart-Emergency dispatch centre, and what you sent it in field officer mode, including photos, which the centre keeps for its own periods. We delete the SOS data on our systems and ask the centre to delete what it received from us; if a case of yours is still open there, the centre deletes after that case is closed, and it keeps the statistics of the case and the history of its handling.
- Other data the law requires us to keep, and data needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
- Accounts you hold with our business partners, such as a partner's staff account, are not deleted with it. Please contact that partner directly.
5. How long it takes
- We delete your personal data or anonymise it within 30 days of your request.
- Until the scheduled date you can cancel the request in the app, on the Profile tab.
- After deletion you can register again with the same address, with none of the old account's history.
